
The presenter, Sean Giblin, will cover the background to the critical importance of energy efficiency to the future world energy supply and climate change agenda and how this is now being translated into Government policy around the world. It will outline how these policies are being implemented in Europe and how they are impacting all commercial and non-residential buildings. It will cover how new cloud-based computing systems are enabling buildings energy consumption to be optimised continually and in real time to allow building owners to reduce their energy consumption by 25% and to comply with new and emerging regulations.
Sean Giblin
Sean Giblin founded Cylon Controls Ltd in 1985 when he spun the company out from researchd at University College Dublin (UCD). Along with day-to-day management of the company, Sean has had critical input into each generation of Cylon products. He has also spearheaded the expansion of Cylon into new markets internationally. Sean holds a MSc in Civil Engineering from TCD, BE from UCD along with CdipAF from the Association of Chartered Accountants and has completed advanced management programs with the Irish Management Institute and Cranfield University.
