CIBSE ANZ Region 25th Anniversary Commemoration
In June 2012 it will be 25 years since the Region was inaugurated in Sydney by the then Vice President of CIBSE, Derryck Thornley and the Region is planning to hold a gala evening in Sydney on Friday, 8th June 2012 at the Park Royal Hotel, Darling Harbour, to celebrate this significant occasion.
A 25th anniversary provides us with the opportunity to stop, review and reflect on just what has happened in the Region over this period of time. It is a point in time for members to understand the history and the vision of the past members, particularly those who have served on committees and in executive roles. It is also a wonderful opportunity for our new and younger members to participate in the celebrations, to meet and converse with those who have gone before and hopefully to elect to become more involved in the future affairs of our continually expanding Region.
A celebration needs participants to ensure that the celebration is indeed a celebration for all present and we are confident that our members will fully support the evening. Over the years we have had many CIBSE member visitors to our Region from all corners and levels of the CIBSE network around the world. We trust those visitors enjoyed their Australian experience and we would welcome all to return and come and join in our celebrations.
